Beard Hair transplant is a Hair transplant method that aims to improve the natural shape and density of a beard by harvesting healthy hair follicles from the back of the head and transplanting them to areas where beard hair is sparse or low in density, such as the mustache or chin. This procedure can be considered for those who are congenitally lacking in beard hair or have patchy areas, those who wish to increase the density of their beard, or those who have a lack of beard hair in specific areas due to scarring. A personalized transplant plan is established by comprehensively assessing the current distribution of the beard, facial shape, skin condition, and the direction of existing beard hair. Through a pre-surgical consultation, the desired range and shape of the beard are determined, and the design is created by considering facial contours and overall proportions. Subsequently, healthy hair follicles are harvested from the back of the head, selected, and then transplanted into the planned beard area. Since the direction and angle of hair growth vary by area—such as the mustache, chin, and cheeks—it is crucial to perform the transplant with precision so that it blends naturally with the texture, direction, and density of the existing beard. The procedure aims to create a natural appearance and contour by considering the balance between the facial shape and the beard as a whole. Transplanted hair may temporarily shed after the surgery, after which new hair will begin to grow. Due to the nature of using hair from the back of the head, periodic trimming and maintenance may be required to match the desired beard length after it grows. The exact transplant area and the number of grafts required will be determined after consultation with the medical staff.
