I recently just finished a 3,500 follicle hair transplant with Dr. Woomchan. The overall experience was very good. The clinic picked me up from the airport, provided a translator, and made sure the whole process was comfortable and smooth. Dr Woomchan’s English is actually very very good— which really helped in the communication.

I'm Japanese and came to Korea for a hair transplant. To put it simply, the results were excellent. The staff were kind, thorough, and I felt completely at ease during the procedure. They listened carefully to each patient's wishes. This included the design of the hair transplant, and when about 90% of the hair had been transplanted, they asked, "We'll do the last bit for any areas you're concerned about." There were private break rooms at various points, allowing me time to think, "Is this design okay?" Afterward, the clinic director and manager would ask, "Is the design okay? Do you need any revisions?" It was very easy to discuss my concerns. *I requested three revisions to the design.* Woomchan focuses not only on the hairline design but also on density. Every case is incredibly high-density, far superior to cases seen in Japan. I've seen many hair transplant cases from Japan on social media, but honestly, none of them were satisfactory. The hairline might have receded, but the density was low. Woomchan solves these problems. It's only been one day since the procedure, so I can't comment on the effects yet, but I'll monitor the progress. Also, since I heard there are many customers from Japan, I'll list the things I was worried about before coming here. 1. Pain and duration of hair transplant ⇒ The only pain is during the anesthesia. Anesthesia is applied to the back of the head (donor area) and the front of the head (transplant area). The front of the head is overwhelmingly more painful. The sensation is similar to having a shower run over a wound. However, it's not the injection-type anesthesia you might imagine, but a vibrator-type anesthesia, so you don't need to be too tense. I had 3000 hairs (about 1500 grafts) transplanted, and I remember it taking 2 hours for harvesting and 2 hours for implantation. Since you're lying on your back, the harvesting is the hardest part. 2. Where to consult ⇒ Woomchan uses KakaoTalk as their contact point, and you can access it from their official website. After that, you tell them what you want to discuss and book an online consultation. They'll tell you the approximate number of grafts and the price there. We'll look at past cases and photos to help you decide on your ideal outcome and the specifics of the procedure (lowering the hairline, increasing density). The director's quick responses and ease of communication are great. You can consult in Japanese. 3. Will the director perform the surgery from start to finish? ⇒Yes, he will perform it completely from start to finish. He will handle everything from designing the procedure to harvesting and transplanting. *Since it's not sleep anesthesia, you can hear the director talking while he performs the procedure. It's often said that "it's important whether the surgeon performs the procedure from start to finish" when researching hair transplants. This is reassuring. 4. Regarding Japanese language ⇒The manager's Japanese is excellent, and consultations and procedures can be conducted entirely in Japanese. It's perfectly fine even if you don't speak English or Korean. 5. Regarding the schedule ⇒Day 1: Travel to Korea 14:00~ Consultation/Surgery Day 2: Return to Japan 11:00~ Shampoo The entire process is completed in two days. I heard you need to apply a moisturizing spray every hour for the first three days after surgery, so I recommend going during a long holiday. If it's a small area in an M-shape, you might be able to go during a three-day weekend. I adjusted my schedule so I could take a week off from the day of my surgery.

A year ago, I saw a case study on X of someone who had undergone treatment here, and it was the ideal natural hairline I wanted. I also learned that they offered a non-incisional method, so I made an appointment for a consultation. I don't like the sharply defined, rounded hairlines that are common in Korean hair transplant clinics, so the clinic director, who spoke excellent Japanese, explained in detail that the director's cases could be closer to a natural, graduated hairline. Their service was also very good, so I decided to have my surgery at Umchan Clinic. Due to various issues with the clinic's schedule, I had to cancel my surgery appointment once, and I was unable to proceed with the surgery. However, after researching various hair transplant clinics' cases for a year, I realized that this clinic's hair transplants were the closest to my ideal hairline compared to the cases of other clinics, so I made another appointment and decided to go ahead with the non-incisional 2400 hair transplant surgery. I am very much looking forward to the final result.

Having surgery in Taiwan was definitely worthwhile. From the initial consultation via Line to the actual hospital visit, the doctor's explanations and guidance were very clear, and the translator provided further clarification, making the entire process very smooth. Pre- and post-operative instructions were clearly explained, which gave me peace of mind. They also reminded me that I could ask them anytime if I had any questions back in Taiwan. They are a trustworthy doctor.

The hospital director and translator Leo were incredibly attentive and patient in answering every question, which was very heartwarming. Leo's translation skills were reassuring for Chinese speakers, allowing them to directly describe their needs and circumstances. He provided honest and optimal advice based on each individual's situation, so there's no need to worry about language barriers at Yong Chang Hair Transplant Clinic. With Leo's assistance, communication was seamless. Before the surgery, the director clearly marked the planned areas and estimated the amount of hair to be transplanted. Even if the number exceeded the estimate, the charge was based on the original estimate, with no extra charges. The director was very kind, sincere, and highly skilled, making the surgery process very reassuring; I could even sleep soundly. I'm Taiwanese, and I know there are many scams in Taiwan, but I didn't worry about being scammed by contacting them via Line. This hospital even provides accommodation and follow-up services, making it highly recommended!

I had been troubled by hair loss for many years, but I finally decided to have surgery, and I'm so glad I chose Umchan Clinic. The surgery and post-operative follow-up were very thorough, and I'm grateful for their kind and attentive response to my anxieties and questions. The Japanese interpreter was also very kind, which allowed me to undergo the surgery without any anxiety. They even accompanied me to the pharmacy to pick up my prescribed medication after the surgery, so I felt at ease until the very end. During the surgery, all the staff were very kind; they even gave me a stuffed animal to hold, which helped me relax. Honestly, the anesthetic injection was a little painful, but after that, I felt almost no pain until the surgery was over. I was also touched by their thoughtful consideration and attentive service, such as providing warm porridge during breaks. I'm still in the recovery process, but I'm really looking forward to my hair growing back.

The consultant was warm and welcoming, taking the time to answer all my questions and putting me at ease right from the start — it made the whole process feel so much less daunting. Dr. Hyun was extremely detailed in his explanation and planning, walking me through exactly what to expect at every stage. He spoke English well, which made communication easy and gave me a lot of confidence going into the procedure. I had been considering hair transplantation and consulted many clinics in Taiwan, but after reading some articles, I started evaluating hair transplantation options in South Korea. Besides searching online for reviews, I also reviewed the qualifications of many doctors, including various international organization certifications and memberships. The representative director of Woomchan, with his endorsements from various international organizations and extensive experience, convinced me to choose Woomchan as my clinic for my hair transplant in South Korea. Overall, I had a very good experience. The environment was clean and tidy, the translator was very attentive in explaining everything and assisting with translation, and the nurses were all very friendly and attentive. Small details like using vibration to reduce the pain of anesthesia were a big plus. The representative director was also very professional; he made me feel very reassured during the hair extraction, transplantation, and communication regarding my hairline. The surgery time was shorter than I expected, and in addition to the representative director, all the nurses helped check the condition of my hairline. I highly recommend Woomchan to friends in Taiwan who are interested in evaluating hair transplantation in South Korea.

I had been thinking about getting a hair transplant for quite a while, and after doing a lot of research I decided to travel to Korea and choose Woomchan Clinic because they offer a non-shaven hair transplant. Looking back, I'm really pleased with that decision and I'm glad I made the trip. From the moment I arrived, the staff were polite, professional, and welcoming. Both the doctor and the team spoke excellent English, which made the whole process easy and reassuring, especially since I was travelling abroad for the surgery. The doctor aimed for a natural hairline that best suited my face. Now that it's healed, I've already received several compliments on how natural the hairline looks. The donor area also recovered nicely, and everything healed much better than I expected. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would choose Woomchan again. Throughout the process, the team was professional, attentive, and clearly focused on achieving the best possible result.

I successfully completed the surgery the day before yesterday, and the whole experience was much better than I expected. 🥹 The doctor was very cheerful, kind, and polite, making me feel very at ease from the moment we met, instantly easing my nervousness. I'm a Japanese woman in my early 30s. I contacted this clinic via LINE from Japan in Japanese, and after asking numerous questions and receiving such attentive and helpful responses, I decided to have my hair transplant procedure done here! On the day of the procedure, the head surgeon, the manager who spoke fluent Japanese, the Japanese interpreter, the nurses, and all the staff treated me with great care! Between procedures, I was allowed to rest in the VIP room and was even offered snacks and porridge! It was my first hair transplant procedure, but thanks to everyone, I was able to relax! It has been five days since my hair transplant, and I wanted to share my first impressions. So far, I’m very happy with the experience. Dr. Yong took a careful and conservative approach to designing my hairline, which matches exactly what I was hoping for—a natural result rather than an aggressive one. The procedure itself was also much more comfortable than I expected. The discomfort was minimal, and the medical team made the whole process feel smooth and reassuring. During the first few days of recovery, the healing has been faster than I imagined. The donor area has improved noticeably each day, and everything appears to be progressing very well. Of course, the final result depends on the grafts growing successfully over the coming months. I’ll come back and update this review once the new hair has fully grown in. So far, I’m very pleased with my decision and grateful to Dr. Yong and the entire team.

I have to give this hair transplant clinic a huge thumbs up for their service! From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt incredibly cared for. The surgical plan was explained very clearly, which completely put my mind at ease, as I was initially quite anxious. The entire surgery was performed under local anesthesia, so I felt almost no pain. The medical staff even thoughtfully provided a post-operative care kit. They also offer long-term follow-up appointments, which is reassuring. The environment was private and comfortable, and the techniques were superb – it was a very reassuring journey to beauty!
