Director Hwang Hyo-jung has been in clinical practice for over 35 years since obtaining a license as a doctor of Korean medicine in 1990. Having worked in the internal medicine department of a Korean medicine hospital for nine years, she has accumulated extensive experience in treating various internal diseases, and since the early 2000s, she has continuously observed and researched the clinical progress of patients with atopic dermatitis and chronic eczema. Starting Saehim in 2006, she developed the oral herbal prescription Saehim (SRM1) and the Saehim System, which monitors the long-term skin recovery process of patients. Currently, at Moraesigye Korean Medicine Clinic, she conducts individual condition assessments, treatments, and long-term follow-up observations, focusing on patients with atopic dermatitis and chronic eczema. A prospective observational study paper covering the long-term clinical progress of 35 patients with atopic dermatitis has been submitted to an international journal and is currently under review; the research content is available on Research Square. In addition, she continues to engage in international health and clinical cooperation activities for patients with skin diseases in countries such as Benin and Côte d'Ivoire, including participation in the WHA/NTD Working Group and advisory activities related to WHO skin-related neglected tropical diseases.
