Sungmo Jin Eye Clinic's 'Today LASEK,' performed under the precise, customized diagnosis of an ophthalmologist formerly a professor at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, is a premium vision correction procedure conducted 100% by all-laser without the use of physical tools such as alcohol or brushes. Key Features and Benefits Quick Return to Daily Life: By minimizing the area of corneal epithelial ablation, a return to daily life is possible in just two days. Reduced Pain, Increased Safety: By lowering corneal damage and thermal stimulation, concerns regarding the pain and dry eye syndrome typical of LASEK have been dramatically reduced. Optimized Corneal Preservation: By securing the maximum possible residual corneal thickness, it offers a safe alternative even for those with thin corneas or patients with high myopia and astigmatism. Resistant to External Impact: Due to its structural stability, which does not involve creating a corneal flap, it is suitable for those who engage in frequent sports or outdoor activities.
Treatment information is for reference only and may vary depending on individual conditions. For accurate details, please consult with the facility.
Recommended for
- For those who want to stop wearing glasses or contact lenses
- For those who prioritize stability against external impact due to frequent exercise and outdoor activities.
- Patients who are ineligible for SMILE surgery due to thin corneas
Procedure Benefits
- The surgery is performed using the SCHWIND AMARIS 1050S device from the German company SCHWIND.
- Precision has been improved with a 7-dimensional eye-tracking system.
- Over 20 types of precision tests: After checking corneal thickness, corneal topography, intraocular pressure, pupil size, etc., we determine whether surgery is possible and the amount of correction required.
Risks and Notes
Postoperative dry eye, nighttime glare (halos), and temporary vision fluctuations may occur, most of which subside over 3 to 6 months. Depending on the correction amount, overcorrection or undercorrection may occur, in which case reoperation may be considered. Surgery may be difficult if you have insufficient corneal thickness, suspected keratoconus, severe dry eye syndrome, autoimmune diseases, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please do not rub your eyes for one month after surgery, and avoid saunas and swimming. Eye makeup is permitted after 2 weeks, and please use the prescribed eye drops according to the specified schedule.
