Non-incision or minimally invasive Dental implant is a minimally invasive Dental implant procedure that, unlike conventional methods, does not require a large incision in the gums but instead involves placing the implant through a small hole in a minimal area. By minimizing the surgical site, the procedure aims to reduce patient discomfort and promote faster recovery. Since it is also possible to place the Dental implant immediately on the day of extraction, the number of clinic visits can be minimized.

Recommended for
- Single or few tooth loss: For those who have lost one or two teeth and wish to preserve adjacent healthy teeth instead of undergoing a 'bridge' procedure that requires grinding down healthy teeth on either side, this is highly recommended. For those who find dentures uncomfortable: If you are struggling with the foreign body sensation or lack of chewing force (masticatory force) of dentures, or if your dentures are causing pain by pressing on your gums, you can increase stability through Dental implant.
Procedure Benefits
- It is painless and incision-free, allowing for a quick recovery. It is also recommended for those with dental phobia.
Risks and Notes
1. Post-operative Instructions (Recovery Phase) a. Hemostasis and Avoiding Negative Pressure: Keep the gauze firmly in place for 2 hours. Do not spit out blood or saliva; swallow them to facilitate faster hemostasis. The use of straws is prohibited for one week, as it creates negative pressure in the mouth that can interfere with hemostasis. b. Swelling Management: Apply cold compresses for 48 hours after surgery (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off). Starting from the third day, warm compresses are recommended to promote blood circulation. c. Dietary Intake: You may eat once the anesthesia has worn off (approximately 2–3 hours later). For about a week, avoid hot, spicy, or hard foods and consume soft, liquid-based meals instead. d. Smoking and Alcohol Cessation: Smoking is the primary cause of Dental implant failure; therefore, you must refrain from smoking for at least 2 weeks to one month. e. Bone Graft/Sinus Surgery: Do not blow your nose forcefully. If you need to sneeze, keep your mouth open to disperse the pressure and ensure the stability of the graft material. 2. After Final Prosthesis Placement (Maintenance Phase) a. Dietary Precautions: Do not eat for 2 hours after placement to allow the adhesive to set. b. Adaptation Period: You may accidentally bite your cheek or tongue at first, and you might experience pain in the opposing teeth. This will feel natural after an adaptation period of about 1 month. c. Managing Food Impaction: Unlike natural teeth, Dental implant does not move slightly, so food particles can easily get stuck in the gaps. The use of interdental brushes, dental floss, or a water flosser is essential. d. Dealing with Abnormal Symptoms: If the prosthesis feels loose or falls out, do not panic. Keep the prosthesis and visit the dental clinic immediately so it can be re-secured.
