EVO+ ICL is a surgical procedure that corrects vision by inserting a specialized lens into the eye without removing any corneal tissue. Unlike traditional LASIK or LASEK, it preserves the cornea, making it a viable option even for patients with thin corneas, high myopia, or astigmatism.
Treatment information is for reference only and may vary depending on individual conditions. For accurate details, please consult with the facility.
Recommended for
- In cases of severe myopia or astigmatism *In cases of corneal disease or injury *In cases of thin corneal thickness *In cases where there is a concern for keratoconus after laser surgery
Procedure Benefits
- The lens has a micro-hole in the center, allowing for safe surgery without the need for an iridotomy.
Risks and Notes
Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery requires a process of inserting a folded lens through the dilated pupil and unfolding it. During this process, the surgeon's extensive experience is crucial to ensure the lens is inserted into the exact position at once, preventing it from becoming misaligned or flipped. At our clinic, we follow the US FDA-recommended standards—3.0mm for posterior chamber lenses and 3.2mm for anterior chamber lenses—and verify the anterior chamber depth and corneal endothelial cell count to ensure safe surgery without damaging intraocular structures.
