Koreans sort the body into four types
The same food suits one person and not another. Traditional Korean medicine treats that difference as a difference in inborn temperament, and has sorted people into four types.

- Soeumin

- Taeyangin

Formulated by the late-Joseon physician Lee Je-ma (1837–1900), who wrote Donguisusebowon in 1894 (published in 1901). It is a Korean system with no counterpart in Chinese medicine.
