About the Hospital

Hello. I am Kim Jeonghyun, the director of Nua Korean Medicine Clinic. Nua Korean Medicine Clinic is located right in front of Exit 12 of Gangnam Station, and it is a clinic that carefully looks after the balance of body and mind for people who live busy lives in Gangnam. For me, Korean medicine was not an unfamiliar field I chose one day out of the blue. Growing up under the influence of my father, who is a Korean medicine doctor, I naturally came into close contact with Korean medicine from childhood. I myself was also a patient who suffered from atopic dermatitis for a long time. Whenever my symptoms worsened, I received herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment, and even after becoming an adult, there were periods when I struggled with skin symptoms. I have also repeatedly experienced weight loss and yo-yo dieting firsthand. That is why I try not to view the concerns of patients I meet in the treatment room simply as a single disease name. Even with the same neck pain, the situation of an office worker who works in front of a computer all day may differ from that of someone injured during exercise, and even with the same weight concern, lifestyle patterns, constitution, and eating habits can differ from person to person. - After graduating from the College of Korean Medicine at Dongguk University, I wanted to experience a wider variety of patients and treatments, so I gained clinical experience in Seoul. In particular, while meeting elderly patients who spent difficult times in hospital beds and could barely move, I often wondered, 'What more can I do for this person?' To find that answer, I kept studying, and I considered sincere communication with patients just as important as treatment. This experience led to my current clinical philosophy. At Nua Korean Medicine Clinic, in addition to acupuncture, cupping, pharmacopuncture, and chuna, we review and apply various treatment methods such as thread embedding and dochim (metal needle therapy) depending on the patient's condition. Rather than looking only at the painful area, we aim to carefully examine the causes of recurring pain and even lifestyle habits. We are also building a clinical environment where patients' diverse concerns can be addressed together, including herbal medicine, Korean internal medicine care, and weight management that takes constitution into account. - What I consider most important in my practice is the patient's mind. Rather than forcing unnecessary treatments, I aim to provide care in which I thoroughly explain your current condition and what treatment is needed, and decide the direction together with you. I hope to be a Korean medicine doctor who can sometimes talk with you comfortably with a smile, and at moments when treatment is needed, a meticulous doctor who does not overlook even the smallest details, standing by your side. The value pursued by NuA can be expressed in one sentence. 'Nurture Your Inner Balance.' I will be with each and every patient to review the balance of the body that has been disrupted in busy daily life, so that each person can find their own healthy everyday life. If you have been looking for a Korean medicine clinic in Gangnam where you can comfortably talk about even the small signals your body sends, I invite you to meet us at Nua Korean Medicine Clinic.
