Based on a strong recommendation from a friend in the U.S., I waited a few months for my son to turn 19 to make an appointment, and he finally underwent lens implantation surgery with Dr. Kim Jun-hyun. Although his vision isn't perfect yet, I am waiting with gratitude, knowing that he will see clearly in about two weeks. The nurses were incredibly kind, and the director treated us with the same care and attention as a parent. Also, as his mother, I underwent a detailed examination for over an hour to prepare for surgery, but unfortunately, I couldn't receive the procedure because my eye condition was poor. When I went to pay for my son's surgery and my various tests, they only charged me for his surgery and didn't charge me separately—I was deeply touched and grateful. Since returning to Korea, I have visited many hospitals over the years, but I felt uncomfortable seeing them so focused on profit trying to add even a single penny, putting the money aside; I didn't feel at ease. I couldn't trust them either. But this place seems to be honest. I highly recommend this place to anyone with children who have poor eyesight like me, with a mother's heart.

Although my eyesight isn't extremely poor, the nature of my job made it very inconvenient to wear glasses constantly. While researching SMILE LASIK, I discovered Gangnam Joeun Eye Clinic through Modudak. After the consultation, I felt confident enough to undergo the procedure there, so I had the surgery on the very same day. I am extremely satisfied; the doctor was highly skilled and completed the surgery quickly and accurately, allowing me to feel at ease during the procedure. I visited this hospital based on a friend's recommendation. First of all, the doctor explained everything so kindly that I was able to proceed with a clear understanding of the surgical process, which was great. I appreciated that they explained the differences between SMILE LASIK, SMILE LASIK PRO, and SMILE LASIK Silk, and recommended a procedure tailored to my eye condition. I was very worried right before the procedure and asked many questions, but they answered them kindly, allowing me to undergo the surgery with less anxiety. I underwent SMILE LASIK Silk, and I was pleased that there was almost no pain on the day of the procedure and my vision recovered enough to resume daily activities the next day. First off, I found this place through Modudak rather than through a recommendation from an acquaintance, and I booked a consultation with a bit of anxiety about it appearing at the very top of the ad. I am writing this honestly because I believe there may be others who feel the same way. One month before leaving for overseas, I urgently decided to get vision correction surgery, so I requested consultations at three hospitals through Modudak. I focused primarily on three things: which hospital conducted thorough examinations, how friendly the staff were, and how clear the doctor's explanations were. Although I had the anxiety mentioned earlier, through the examination and the doctor's consultation, I felt that this hospital best met my three criteria compared to other hospitals, so I gained confidence. The next day, I called and booked an appointment for an earlier date than originally planned. I felt more at ease because the attending doctor was present on the day of the examination as well as before and after the surgery. The other staff members were also generally very kind. Due to intermittent waiting times, the examination and consultation took approximately two hours each on the day of the examination and the day of the surgery. The surgery seemed to finish quickly, taking about 5 to 10 minutes. The doctor explained the precautions well before the operation, so I believe that if I understand and follow them properly, the surgery will yield good results. I experienced almost no pain on the day of the surgery, and my vision seems to have recovered quickly. Although I still feel a slight blurriness and dryness, it seems to be gradually improving now that two days have passed. Overall, I am satisfied and have no worries. I think I just need to pay more attention to post-operative recovery and take good care of my eyes.

After the examination and consultation, I decided on SMILE Pro surgery and underwent the operation on the same day. They recommended SMILE Pro and Silk LASIK to suit my eye condition, which involved slightly enlarged pupils and a rotated astigmatism axis; after much deliberation, I decided on SMILE Pro. The optometrist, front desk staff, doctors, and nurses were all kind and made me feel comfortable, which helped calm my tension and anxiety about the surgery on the day. The surgery was very quick. Although I was very nervous and worried during the procedure, Director Kim Jun-sik provided excellent guidance, allowing me to let go of my anxiety and undergo the surgery comfortably. My eyes felt a bit irritated only until the afternoon of the day of the surgery, but they were fine starting in the evening. Now on the third day, I feel that my dry eye symptoms have improved compared to the second day. Although I still experience some glare, I believe it will gradually get better, just as my dry eye has improved. If you are considering SMILE Pro or LASIK surgery, I recommend getting an examination and consultation at Joeun Eye Clinic before making a decision.
