Precision CO2 Laser Treatment at Osundosun Korean Medicine Clinic: Flat Warts and Mole Removal Flat warts that appear bumpy on the face, neck, or body, along with deep and dark moles, go beyond a simple cosmetic concern and become a significant source of daily stress. At Osundosun Korean Medicine Clinic, we combine high-power carbon dioxide (CO2) laser technology, which precisely targets only the lesion while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy skin, with our Korean herbal skin regeneration expertise to provide delicate treatment that eases concerns about scarring. * Principles and Advantages of CO2 Laser Treatment The CO2 laser uses far-infrared light in the 10,600 nm wavelength range. It is selectively absorbed by the water within skin tissue, instantly vaporizing (evaporating) and removing only the lesion tissue. Fine and precise targeting: The laser beam is extremely thin and precise, minimizing thermal damage to normal skin tissue while carefully shaving away only the wart or mole tissue. Minimized risk of bleeding and infection: Because the laser removes the lesion while simultaneously coagulating small blood vessels, there is almost no bleeding during the procedure, and the risk of secondary infection at the treatment site is low. Customized treatment through depth control: From flat warts that spread shallowly in the epidermis to deep-rooted moles lodged deep within the dermis, energy is finely adjusted to match the thickness and depth of the lesion.

Risks and Notes
Temporary redness and warmth (erythema): For several days after the procedure, the treated area may become red and feel warm or tingling. Even after the scabs fall off, the pink new skin may remain red for several weeks, and sometimes up to 2 to 3 months, before returning to its original skin tone. This is a normal part of the skin's regeneration process. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH): During the period when new skin is forming, exposure to UV light or inflammation or irritation of the treated area may cause dark pigmentation to develop. In most cases, it gradually fades over time, but thorough UV protection is essential for prevention.
