This is a procedure in which a dentist applies a high-concentration whitening agent to the tooth surface and then activates it with a light curing device to brighten the teeth. Compared to at-home self-whitening, the change is more dramatic in a single visit, and because it is performed with a gum protective barrier applied, irritation to the gums can be reduced. Before whitening, an oral examination is conducted to check for cavities and gum inflammation, and a shade guide is used to record tooth color before and after the procedure. Genuine Osstem teeth whitening agent is used, which is low-irritation and highly effective. It is completed in one visit and proceeds in a total of 3 cycles (each cycle takes approximately 15 minutes). At minimum, all 3 cycles must be completed in order to see the teeth whitening effect.

Risks and Notes
Tooth sensitivity to cold foods or air may occur for 24 to 48 hours after the procedure. If the whitening agent contacts the gums, they may temporarily turn white or feel a slight sting, but this usually resolves within a few hours. For 48 hours after the procedure, please avoid foods and habits that cause strong staining, such as coffee, black tea, wine, curry, berries, and smoking. If you have untreated cavities, gum inflammation, or cracked teeth, we recommend treating these conditions first before whitening. We do not recommend this procedure for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, or for those under 18 years of age.
Our clinic uses the Osstem whitening light-activated system. We use a whitening agent at a higher concentration than over-the-counter self-whitening products, and the treatment is performed under the supervision of a dental hygienist and dentist with the gums protected, so it is safe and you can experience highly effective results in a single visit.
